You have to install the extension called Facebook Fast Delete Messages.
After installed this extension, you will notice that a new red (X) button is added right next to the Archive button, and allows you to instantly delete messages.

How to make Mozilla Firefox 30 times faster

Step 1: Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar where you normally type a web address.

Step 2: Then click the button: "I'll be careful, I promise".

Step 3: In the filter bar below the address bar type network.http.

Step 4: Double-click on "network.http.pipelining" to change the setting from false to true.

Step 5: Double-click on "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to change the value from false to true.

Step 6: Double-click on "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and change the number to "30". This means it will make 30 requests at once.
(Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.)

Step 7: Several lines above network.http.proxy.pipelining you
will see
"network.http.max-persistant-connections-per-proxy" and
"network.http.max-persistant-connections-per-server".
Double-click each line and change the value to "8".

Step 8: Two lines up locate and double-click on "network.http.max-connections" and set the value to "48".

Step 9: Now right-click (control-click on a Mac) anywhere in the configuration (the area where you
have been making the changes). Select "New" then "Integer".

Step 10: When prompted, copy and paste or type the following into the field provided: nglayout.initialpaint.delay.

Step 11: When prompted to add a value, enter the number "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

Step 12: Close all windows and tabs. The changes will take effect when you restart Firefox.

How to protect your information from the bad guys of cyberspace

Back up everything. You are not invulnerable. Catastrophic data loss can happen to you. one worm or Trojan is all it takes.

Choose passwords that are reasonably hard to guess. don't just append a few numbers to a no-brainer. Always change default passwords.

Use an antivirus product like AVG or Norton, and set it to update daily.

Update your OS religiously and be vigilant in applying all security patches released by the software manufacturer.

Avoid hacker-bait apps like Internet Explorer and disable automatic scripting on your e-mail client.

Use encryption software like PGP (pretty good privacy) when sending sensitive e-mail. You can also use it to protect your entire hard drive.

Install a spyware detection application. Programs that can be set to run frequently, like SpyCop, are ideal.

Use a personal firewall. Configure it to prevent other computers, networks and sites from connecting to you, and specify which programs are allowed to connect to the net automatically.

Disable any system services you're not using, especially apps that could give others remote access to your computer (like Remote Desktop, RealVNC and NetBIOS).

Secure your wireless networks. At home, enable WPA (Wi-Fi protected access) with a password of at least 20 characters. Configure your laptop to connect in Infrastructure mode only, and don't add networks unless they use WPA.
